French a Foreign Language
The French as a Foreign Language (FLE) service of the Humanity Center of INSA Lyon offers each new academic year the opportunity to Ph.D. students (registered in INSA exclusively) to register to a French course of 2 hours per week (4 hours for beginners). This course starts in November and ends in May. It takes place in the evening (from 6 pm to 8 pm).
Students enrolled in Double Degree programs and postdocs can also take the course, if there is still availabilities in the group corresponding to their level.
This course is part of the transversal activities offered by some doctoral schools. Students interested in such courses must inform their thesis supervisor of their registration to the course.
An e-mail concerning the registration procedures (deadlines, placement test, etc.) is relayed by FEDORA after the start of the academic year (typically end of September-beginning of October).
For registrations after the deadline, Ph.D. students can contact the French as a Foreign Language Service (servfran@insa-lyon.fr), which will examine applications on a case-by-case basis. Due to the pedagogical progression of the courses, no registration can be made after mid January for the current academic year.
