Registration and Defense

Once the application for authorization to register has been validated and the favorable decision of the CCED has been received, the procedure for the defense of the HDR can be initiated. The framework for delivering the HDR issued jointly by the Université C. Bernard Lyon I and INSA Lyon is specified in the "Registration for HDR" procedure validated by the INSA Scientific Council of 11 May 2007.

The procedure for obtaining the HDR is as follows:

• Phase 1: Writing of the manuscript (Memory content and title page template in .doc (HDR_modele_page_titre.doc) or .tex (modele_hdr_insalyon_ucbl.zip) format.
• Phase 2: Defense
  
  • D – 8 weeks: Registration with the submission of the manuscript and submission of the jury
  • D – 7 weeks: Sent manuscript to reviewers by the candidat (after ED and Institut's approval)
  • D – 4 weeks: Reception of the reviewers’ reports
  • D – 2 weeks: Defense authorization and establishment of defense files by FEDORA
  • D Day: Defense & files signed by the jury
  • D + 8 days: Return of defense documents for establishment of the HDR certificate
