Open Science in Engineering

Open science is a fundamental component of the Science-Society dialogue. It is also a warranty for the work of researchers (for example, through a better robustness with respect to the risk of plagiarism).
In addition to the course offered at the Lyon/St-Etienne level, INSA offers training on Open Science on parts specific to engineering professions. The following topics are covered in this seminar:

• Presentation of the environment of scientific publication in engineering sciences
• Definition and origin of open science
• Choice of publication channels, publishers and journals adapted to the engineering sciences
• Legal issues and specific regulations
• Mastering your digital identity to increase the visibility of your scientific work
• Introduction to Opening Research Data
• Feedback and exchange with a teacher-researcher
